Excellent service
We truly can’t say enough great things about our experience working with Val and Gian to train our dog, Oakley. From the very beginning, Val set the tone for a professional, thoughtful, and well-structured process. She took the time to walk us through exactly how the training works, what methods would be used, and what kind of results we could realistically expect. That level of transparency immediately gave us confidence and made us feel like we were in great hands. One thing that really stood out was Val’s flexibility and willingness to work with our schedule.

The founder, Gian Hernandez, describes his own cognitive-emotional training system. The academy is in Ocala, a Marion County city of 71,753 people in 2025, per the Census Bureau. The median home in Ocala was built in 1984, per the American Community Survey for 2024.
The Board and Train program at Gian K9 Academy
The website names Board and Train as its main program and states that 90% of its clients choose it. The dog stays at the academy and works one-on-one with a trainer in a structured setting. The company says owners also leave with the tools to keep the results going at home.
